Vocabulary Unit 6

Dump: to throw away or discard.
Poison: a substance that taken into the body can damage it or make different injuries.
Preserve: to keep something alive or in existence.
Bury: to put in the ground and cover with earth.

Convenient: suitable to the purpose.
Reliable: capable of being relied on.
Fixed: attached or placed as to be firm and immovable.

How is it cooked?
It's cooked on the grill/ in the oven / in a pan.
What's that made with?
What does it come with? / What is it served with?
It comes with.. / It's served with...
What has it got on / in it?
It's got.... on / in it.
That smells / tastes / looks / sounds...
I don't like the smell / look / sound / taste of that!
I'm fond / I'm not very fond of...
I'm keen / not very keen of...
... are the favourite of mine.
I can't resist...

SELF-EVALUATION

→ During this term, I've learned some new English vocabulary and grammar; the different types of cities around the world, and how they have developed.
→ Outside the high school, I have watched some films and series in English, and I have read lot of news and interesting articles.
→ I have to improve my English grammar, and a little bit of the Physical education's vocabulary.
→ I can improve them practicing with other people, talking to them,or just trying to learn them by hard.

Vocabulary Unit 5

Kidnap:To carry off a person by the force, without him/her wanting to.
Mugging: an assault of violence upon a person.
Arson: the crime of deliberately setting fire to a place.
Forgery: any piece of work falsely claimed to be genuine.
Burglary: entering to a place to steal something.
Blackmail: an act of frightening someone into making a payment of money.
Fraudster: someone that lies to you with the intention of getting your money, without you noticing it.

DIALOGUE

Jesús: Hey guys. Tomorrow it´s Emma´s b-day. What should we buy her?
Isabel: How about buying her some new clothes in the sales?
Juan: No, she has plenty of clothes on her wardrove.
Bea: So, what if we buy her the new Marvel comics?
Jesús: I don´t think that´s a good idea. She alredy has all the comics.
Isabel: We could buy her the new Ed Sheeran´s CD.
Juan: That sounds like a good idea.
Bea: That works for me too.
Jesús: So, is everyone happy with that idea?
Juan/Isabel/Bea: Yes! Let´s buy it!

FUNCTIONAL LANGUAGE
